100.4 smooth fm has proudly chosen MedEquip4Kids as our chosen charity for this year's smooth Appeal.

The smooth appeal is an easy way for you and your colleagues to feel a sense of community involvement and raise money for MedEquip4Kids.

MedEquip4Kids exists to improve the health of children in the North West of England by providing equipment and facilities to aid recovery and prevent illness and injury.

MedEquip4Kids works closely with hospitals and care agencies to identify items of medical equipment, improvements to facilities or additional items of play or therapy equipment that can best enhance the care received by our region’s children. (Click here to see a list of current and completed projects.)

Twins Adam and David were born 10 weeks premature. David weighed a mere 3lb 10oz with Adam a tiny 1lb 13oz. They spent their first 2 weeks in an incubator as neither could breathe unaided. Mum and Dad were able to stay with Adam and David in a specially built parent’s accommodation. Adam and David made a full recovery. The equipment and accommodation which helped save their lives was funded by MedEquip4Kids.

All we are asking is for you and your staff to bring a £ to work on 1st November and donate it to the appeal.

The smooth Appeal gives you several easy ways for you, your company and colleagues to get involved and raise money for these desperately deserving children living in your area.

For more details email Adelle at smooth fm by clicking here or keep listening to 100.4 smooth fm. Plus, smooth Appeal’s Online Auction will be coming soon, if you want to donate a prize for us to auction off, simply email us Adelle (click here) and she will contact you shortly.

Wednesday 1st November 2006, we can make a difference together.
