For over thirty years, The Moody Blues have been devoted to their place in classic rock history, generating the sale of over 55 million albums. Known to have helped define the progressive rock sound, their success has taken them worldwide.
The Moody Blues’ first album Days of Future Passed, was released in 1967 and stayed in the charts for over two years featuring one of the biggest-selling singles of all time, “Nights in White Satin” that became a milestone in rock recording. This has successfully charted in the UK three times for the group!
Their rising success took them to greater heights when they first toured the USA after the release of In Search of the Lost Chord in 1968, where they quickly developed a devoted following. In August 1970 they released their fully acclaimed album A Question of Balance, featuring the international number one single “Question”, firmly establishing them in the market.
Members Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge, have since gone from strength to strength, each even releasing successful solo albums but by 1980 they were ready to record together again releasing the huge top 5 album Long Distance Voyager. They have continued to tour and with a rumoured new album on the horizon and a USA, Canada and UK tour on the way they are back in force by popular demand.
