Real Radio has organised the North West’s biggest ever sports day on Wednesday 1st July to help kids get active.
It’s part of an innovative project called ‘Kids out for Summer’ to encourage as many children as possible to play outside. We have teamed up with the government’s Change4Life campaign to get kids to eat well, move more and live longer.
We want to get as many schools in the North West to take part as possible so we can have thousands of children getting active on the same day.
This could be 20 minutes, an hour, or for the whole day.
This event is designed to be fun for pupils, not competitive and to help children who would often shy away from PE or activity.
We'll send out Real Radio presenters and crew members to as many of the schools as possible throughout the day to take part in the fun and give out prizes to the children.
This will be part of our campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of children playing outside over the summer holidays.
YOUR HELP…
We would like as many schools as possible to get involved in this massive campaign to help raise awareness of the problems of childhood obesity and to encourage young people to play outside.
If you have not already, could you please register to take part.
